Metal springs inside faucet
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.49 PM
I dont mean the Aerator but this spring metal bits, and still plenty inside the faucet itself. Hi, i have been changing today the end of the tap and when i took that part off i notice lots of metal wavy, spring pieces inside the faucet. Anyone know what that can be? Can't post a picture in here to show. Thank you

Those metal wavy, spring-like pieces you found inside your faucet are most likely the valve seat and spring. The valve seat is a circular piece of metal or other material that seals the opening in the faucet when you turn off the handle. The spring applies pressure to the valve seat to keep it in place and create a tight seal.
If you removed the valve seat and spring while replacing the end of the tap, it's important to make sure you reinstall them correctly before reassembling the faucet. These components are essential for the faucet to work properly, and if they're not installed correctly, it could cause leaks or other issues.
If you're not familiar with the proper installation of these components, it's a good idea to get a plumbing professional to help or refer to the manufacturer's instructions.

HI
I agree with what others have said, and without seeing it it does make it a bit trickier. An idea maybe to find the manufacturer and find you tap and its instructions and youll see what that part is and how it goes back together. Or if it is a main brand you could speak to their techinal team as most are very helpful.
Hope that helps
