Can an electrician move the thermostat box for the heating system?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.49 PM

We need to move some light switches as we are opening up the under the stairs cupboard. The thermostat for the new boiler is also where the light switch (4X) box is and this cupboard wall will no longer be there. To save time can an electrician move the thermostat box as well or does it have to be a gas safe engineer?

Hi. You don't need a gas safe engineer, an electrician is perfectly fine conducting the works.

you will need a registered electrician for this job! The job can be done without going into the boiler if its a re-route, this is assuming it works ok already!
