Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.32 PM

Hello All, I am looking for advice on insulation, that I have a log cabin and would like to insulate it so I can use it as a small office however it is 4mtr X 4mtr. the log cabin is a normal log cabin with single wall wood panels locked into each other. I wish I could add pictures. however, there are no studs, if I use 2x2s for studs and then wondering what thickness insulation I should use. I am looking to achieve as economically as possible. please advise me

Log cabin with internal stud walls? Rockwool or celotax (foil backed insulation) should do the trick if so.

Celotex + plasterboard + skim (or tape and joint) Or PIR insulated plasterboard + skim (or tape and joint) Use Megastik or Instastik adhesive foam, so no need to batten etc.. The cost will depend on the thickness of the boards Have a look at Selco (or other similar stores) Hope this helps
