You may need to make a natural soak away to release the existing water

If it’s permeable paving you need at least 250mm type 1 down before your 4/6mm stone that you lay the blocks on , of the ground your paving on is poor quality as in just mud or clay the water has nowhere to go so you will have to excavate deeper or install a plastic Crate soak away system where you will have to dig deeper like 5m build your soak away tower, wrap in memebrane , fill with clean pea shingle , when level with ground , membrane then type 1

If your builder is laying permeable paving, he should also be installing a perforated or slotted solid drain under the paving this will be connected to the drainage taking away your roof drainage. If this is installed properly you will have no issues with drainage. Cheers pete.
