Extractor / Hood / PIV in wet walls 2 bed flat

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.59 PM

I have not got around to installing hob hood extractor in kitchen in my medium 2 bed flat. Unfortunately the window walls including a bedroom wall gets really wet from condensation (art deco build). I have a bathroom extractor fan that seems to impact reasonably well but I'm not sure if I should install a good trickle extractor fan in the bedroom and kitchen or go for a PIV unit or just get a decent hob extractor in kitchen. To sell the flat, what would look less suspect and be more effective. Thanks in advance :-)

Usually condensation is a result of non existent ventilation. If you have windows try opening them, even if it's only before a viewing. Fans can only do so much and sometimes are not a finite answer. Definitely get some advice from a qualified electrician /builder, but be clever.

Surely a good kitchen extract fan should be sufficient, i would contact your local electrician & let them view your current set up who should be able to advise you accordingly
