Water patches showing on the side wall of bay windows
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.48 PM
The walls on the side of our upstairs bay window are wet, particularly the area next to the bottom corner of the window. Moulds starts to appear on the wall and window frames. Under the windowsill, the wall feels cold and damp. The room is above the living room downstairs and feels much colder than the living room. What could be the cause of the leaking and cold issue please?

They haven’t put a silicone damm on the sill and waters coming in . Get the fitters back to sort out.

Will probably need to take the plaster off and put some insolation in the bay and fill any holes to stop the damp coming in

Possible from a leak but in the cold weather condensation is a big problem, if its a room where you spend a lot of time may be open the window and one on other side of the house to get ventilation.
