Removal of a bio-ethanol fire

Hi folks I bought a flat with a bio-ethanol fire and I'm looking to remove it. Google suggest that removal should be simple, but I can't figure out how. I've emptied it of any fuel, and removed all the decorative stones - but I can't figure out how you then remove it from the wall? Is there something simple or obvious I'm missing? Kirsty
