Why is my bath water not getting hot anymore?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 4.05 PM

For the last 2 weeks by bath water only has been running luke warm. It will come out really hot as normal for a split second - then only run tepid for the rest of the time. None of the other taps in the home are affected. Can't get a plumber out for a few days and my shower has also gone to the dogs. Pressure on the boiler is fine. TIA

The hot water tank needs to be flushed out.

Depending on system if its combination boiler possibly going through boiler too quick not getting chance to fully heat. Possibly boiler issue but all depends on type of system.

Possibly the bath tap valve, you need to explain what boiler you have for a more accurate answer

As only specifically the one tap is causing the issue I would say that the issue is with the tap. If it is a mixer tap the likely cause would be the cartridge more so if it is a thermostatic mixer tap
