Why do I run out of water

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.49 PM

Hi please can someone help. Everytime we run a Bath or have a shower we run out of water after about a min. Then it takes a day for the water to return. Looks like an air lock? Can someone advise why this is happening and how it can be fixed??

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I believe your ball valve in your loft has failed, this in turn is slowing filling time and therefore supply runs dry at tap

Definitely sounds like you have an issue with your valve in your loft tank not allowing it to fill properly

everything is much simpler and the reason, perhaps, in principle, is in the tap itself. namely, if you have a screw tap, then it should have an arrow indicating the movement of water. the problem is the incorrect installation of this tap, that is, it is installed on the reverse side. you need to install the valve in the direction of the arrow and everything will be fine.

The assumption In the answer is made that hot water finishes in 1 min. Then this is more or less reasonable respond. But before providing descent analysis the client has to formulate his position more sound. Before providing any advises it is good to check the entire circuit. I would start with the main cock and then check each tap on the pressure to localise the problem.
