halo flush sash white foil rough mitres

hi I've just purchased Vega Halo flush sash white foil woodgrain outside plain upvc inside. great looking windows. when they came the mitres on the sashes were rough, mostly at one end the other end being ok not a clean mitre but not rough. the rough mitre you could nearly cut your finger on them. also there was dents a gouges in 2 of the windows out of 10. I rejected them and they said the machine wasn't calibrated correctly, ok so they made a second load. They arrived and they are worse than the first. I rejected them. now the company say they are within manufacturing tolerances and to BSI standards.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The first thing I'd do is tell them you will contact BSI and find out what the tolerance is as I believe your being palmed off, I've got a feeling you'll receive a totally different reply to the one before. End of the day you didn't pay for windows that from what you say are actually uneven to the eye if that's the case they are not in them tolerances

If there are sharp edges it doesn't conform to any standard Unfortunately foiled grain comes with a rougher edge a good manufacturer would polish the miter as much as they can without damage to the foil I hope this helps
