Display flickering on washing machine (seemingly whilst dishwasher is running)

We had a fully new kitchen installed (including new wiring/plugs etc) a year ago. Note we have an older fuse box. The washing machine is freestanding and is 2/3 years old - the display has started flickering when the dishwasher is on (Just the spin and temperature - nothing else on the display). The dishwasher is new with the kitchen and built in. Any ideas why it is flickering? Is this a cause for concern?

It can only be a fault in the machine. They have pcb's controlling all the programs, including the display. Have you contacted the w/m supplier?

If it coincided with the rewiring work then I would be suspicious of the electrical connections. You say you have an older fusebox. Did you get a certificate for the work that was done? You need a modern fuseboard with RCD's to do any new electrical work.
