Water patches showing on the side wall

There are water patches showing on the side wall near the ceiling in one of the 1st floor bedrooms. It doesn't seem like condensation because water patches are bigger and darker at the corner along the wall all the way down. There is a gutter along the roof outside the wall, we are not sure what caused this.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It more than likely something to do whit the guttering

problem with floor or guttering. in first try check is there not blockage in it

It could be gutter related or it could be the felt has shrunk/rotten as it does when it's old and It will need the 1st metre replacing with new felt and batton and Eps trays fitting.

It could be something to do with the guttering and brickwork, the water might be leaking down and going through the wall in the morta joints, re pointing could possibly be a solution or new guttering
