Replacing Washing Machine with Washer Dryer - Advice on Planning

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.44 PM

Hello, I have a washing machine (not Dryer) in my 1st Floor Bathroom. I am planning to replace that with a Washer-Dryer of similar dimensions. I am not sure what are the things I should be looking out for if I am installing a washer dryer for the first time. There was no washer dryer installed previously. Any advice for me? Regards,

You'll need ventilation for the dryer part of the washer dryer, it will probably have an outlet on the back of it which will need to vent externally through the wall to outside or you'll have bad issues with mould inside

There are rules for sockets in a bathroom. Under the wiring regulations a bathroom is a 'special location' and sockets are not allowed. Where would you plug in the washer dryer?

Hi, Most washer dryers use condenser technology what means you don't need anything else the you have for w/m. P.S. Many people I have met were not happy with washer dryer. Spend more time looking on reviews, ask friends/family so you know all pros and cons. One of the downsides is that the cycle take ages. I don't use one so that are only opinion from customers. Regards.

If its a condensing one then no need to vent to the out side
