RED LABEL, been using them, usually to cover up damp or for really bad walls, patching only, first thing, needs special paste, tricky as cannot be folded, once folded leaves the line which stays. As I noticed they do their job but after few years shrinks what leads to loosing grip. Lining paper is required to get a smooth effect and gaps free surface anyway. Its a nightmare to remove, but good solution for temporary fix.

If you have deep cracks then the thermal lining paper would be the better option. I use Red Label reinforced lining paper. If the cracks are not that deep, just use normal lining paper. There are different grades of lining paper so use the one that is appropriate for the state of the wall.
