What is at the end of the rodding eye?
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.48 PM
To cut a long story short, we appear to have some sort of Rainwater issue and I've had a camera down for the second time this year. This time, they also stuck it down the rodding eye and when you get to around 3.2m, you can't seem to move the camera further. What could this be? It looks like a grate with holes and red in colour. The holes appeared to be blocked completely. I have a picture but doesn't give me an option to send one. Any advice would be appreciated - thank you.

Hi
A rodding eye is to gain access to the pipe work - to either clear a blockage or the use off cctv
From what you've said, it seems like they have used cctv and reached the old soakaway, more likely roots or build up of debris etc - you may need to install a new soakaway away or have HPWJ works done 1st
