My light fitting in living room won’t work

My living room light was flickering now it won’t come on at all what could be the problem I’ve already tried changing the bulb

Loose terminal at the switch or the light fitting. ( Normally the switch) Try tapping the switch whilst in the on position

I would definitely recommend taking a look at the switch or light fitting normally is the switch thou to be fair

Hi Bernie. Turn the lighting circuit off at the consumer unit and remove the switch. One of the wires may be loose and may even come out when you remove the switch. Check the tightness of all the terminals on the back of the switch and refit the switch before turning power back on.
