Wet floor has lifted round the drain hole

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.30 PM

Our wet room floor has started to lift on one side of the drain hole, how do we fix it please? It’s getting worse and we don’t want to leave it until it leaks down to the dining room.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi If it’s lifting it probably means that water from the shower has got to it. Lift the lid and unscrew the 4 or 5 screws Buy some Altro mastic and apply this to the perimeter just under the vinyl. Put the screws backs and the lid Have a look at the altro mastic to see how long it takes to go off before using the shower again Hopefully that will sort the problem. Have you got any photos ? Thanks James

I don't really think it's a very good idea, it must be checked first what is the water leakage problem and after that I will see what is necessary to stop the water leakage, thank you
