Water leaking through tiles

Water has been getting through my tiles in the bathroom, we have a shower above the bath and this is where it’s happening. I put grout around the tiles and it hasn’t worked, is there any waterproof coating or something I could temporarily stop the leaking until I am ready to refurbish my bathroom. Thank you.

In this article, we are talking about sealing and waterproofing the grout in between your tiles. The grout is the cement-like liquid you fill between the gaps of your tiles. Often people think the grout is waterproof, however, it is usually quite coarse and porous. Water, oil and other liquids can penetrate it quite easily. This means your grout, if not sealed, can stain, grow mould and start to smell if not properly maintained and looked after.

Once grout been properly replaced and the silicone, I can’t see other way, water can get behind the tiles, unless it’s somewhere else, for instance under the bath?

it could be the washer on the shower head, you should really try to find out where the water is coming from to make the adjustments needed.

You can buy a waterproof tile grout so I would recommend you rake out the existing and regrout with that.
