What grade of concrete?

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.58 PM

I'll be having a 70mm thick 5.5m by 4.5m log cabin being made into a home gym. All of the weight of the building will be on the perimeter of the concrete slab. It will then have a suspended floor installed and then horse stall mats on top of heavy duty floorboards. What grade of concrete and how thick would you go for a building where all the weight is on the perimeter and then the centre will be having say 200kg deadlifts dropped on it, etc. I already have A142 6mm mesh for the job just need to specify how thick the slab and what grade of concrete I want. Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

In addition, if you can have RC concrete upstand all around the perimeter and the span across centre. That will further strengthen it. Hope this helps
