How easy to fit several new lighting in kitchen?
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.58 PM
I live in social housing. I have a long fitting fluorescent light in my kitchen, I'm sure you know the standard type in these properties. 1. I want to put 3 individual hanging lights instead. 2. And then I want to put two individual hanging lights over my sink. There is no light source already above my sink, the only fluerescent light I mention is about 2 metres away but in winter the sink area is dark with no window near it. I could extend them on ropes if that makes any difference? The main lighting mentioned is a long light fitted to the ceiling so I cannot see where the light source hole in the ceiling is, whether it's at one end or in the middle. As I want the three individual lights in a cluster in the middle of the kitchen (the ceiling hole is likely to be in the wrong spot for any of them). How easy would it be to have this new lighting installed? Could I only have one light as there's only one hole in the ceiling? Does it have to be in the same spot? How do I get three individual grouped lights together working if there is only one hole in the ceiling? How do all three lights join up to current light switch for one kitchen light? How do I get 2 lights above the sink to work as they don't have a light source or switch; I want to control them separately from the 3 lights? I really wish I could upload photos for the current light and what I want. Can anyone advise how I can send photo of my kitchen here to show what I mean? Although there's also no ability to reply on posting a question, really frustrating!
