Move Kitchen- waste water and plumbing question.

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.58 PM

Hi there. I'm opening up my kitchen dining room and want to have my sink, dishwasher and washing machine all on the opposite wall to where the waste currently is. The hot and cold water already run on that side of the house. The waste water is confusing me. I've had two different opinions from plumbers. My question is whether it's possible to get the waste from this opposite wall to the sewers on the other side? It's 8m in a straight line through the house. There are suspended floors is this a viable and regulated option. Or can it run round the house either above or under ground to the nearest inspection chamber which would be a 10m straight run, 90 degree turn and another 8m run to the drain? Or is there a better way to do this?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi there. I would run it around the house in 50mm waste as long as it has a good fall. With clips at 800 mm spaces. Also with an inspection cap on the bend as well as further on a tee. Then all your waste water can go thru the wall in 40mm then reducer step up to 50mm. Hope that helps.

Shortest distance is always favorable. If the floor void is deep enough then use that.
