Safe is the best way, the best way is to contact a Qualified Electrician.

Tricky. I would recommend a new piece of cable from the switch to the shower or the other way around. Electric showers are very powerful and any connections which aren't completely sound can result in overheating and fire. Definitely not a job for a DIY'er

Electric showers are the biggest electricity consumers in households 7 to 10 kW so the current that passes through is massive around 38-40amps it's better not to connect cables with this ampacity run a new cable from CU to switch and from switch to shower. Call a competent person 😉

You would probably need to replace the cable from the shower unit to the pull-cord switch, as this is likely to be too short, and probably re-route the supply cable down to the new wall mounted switch as its likely to be long enough once pulled out of the pull-cord switch. It would be inadvisable to try to extend a cable as this complicates things and introduces a weak point at the joint. As others have said its a high current appliance and needs to be carried out with proper care.
