Installation of camera outside doors.

Hi I do not want to install an expensive security system. I do not want to pay for the monthly charges for the ongoing service. Is it possible to just fix two cameras, eg ringbell, so that from my mobile phone, I know who is in my garden. There are different brands of cameras, which one is the best? HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO INSTALL 2 cameras, one in front and one at the back of my house? Many thanks Kam

Hi there,
yes this is possible, there are several competitive brands that we have used and suggest: Ringo, Blink and Nest. Each of these offer different levels of subscription whilst giving free limited storage - it is best to deleted the clips every few weeks to avoid filling the free capacity.
These are also easy to install (DIY) and connect via the home WIFI whilst using batteries to power.
Hope this helps,
thanks,

I install the eufy door bell cameras and in my opinion they are one of the best on the market at a competitive price and no monthly fees as footage is recorded on an SD CARD

1. Install a Wireless type of Security cameras such as Ring.
Advantage:
- cheaper to buy and Install
- connection through Wi-Fi.
Disadvantage:
- Still need to run a cable to power the camera (may need an electrician for that work).
- Wi-Fi signal could be an issue
- you still have to pay monthly subscription to access storage or be limited by the free option.
2. Fit a wired CCTV system (Hikvision)
Advantage:
- Professional grade
- Very reliable wired connection for camera and network
- Does not rely on Wi-Fi for connection)
- Around 30 days of video playback
- No subscription needed
- Advanced and user-friendly mobile app(free)
Disadvantage:
- Price of material and installation is higher
