Hi Zach, there are a few established heating companies that will ensure that you complete your portfolio within a certain time frame for a fee. Sometimes they then offer employment. Last I heard it was around £1500. That's the fastest way to do it. If you haven't had any experience in this field, even with your acs you would still need to start as a trainee to gain the experience and that could take up to a year. I could let you know if I have any gas work relating to the portfolio, but ultimately your best bet is to go where there is alot of work daily and you get as much experience as you can. I wish you good luck, Penny.

I would search the Gas Safe register and look for gas engineers within a preferred post code area ring them and put your case to them but be careful make sure they want to help you rather then just have some one to just solely fetch and carry which is no benefit to you. I lived in Wolverhampton and had many trainees like you wanting to complete there portfolio so this proves there are engineers out there willing to help, so just keep plugging away and you will find someone but be patient as not all sole traders may have the volume of work you require to finish your portfolio as quickly as you would like! Good luck Ps. Some trainees proved to be so good at certain aspects of work I gave them to do that I paid them an amount of money as this enabled me to complete my works quicker
