No receipt sent to my email address

I've just had some work done by someone on my builder and paid the builder but after asking him to email a receipt he has failed to do so

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Every tradesmen should provide an invoice whether that’s before or after payment, this can be by receipt of sale, a written invoice/receipt or if the tradesmen uses a card machine a receipt can be emailed or even text to you. If paying by cash then you should ask the trades person to give you a receipt before Paying. If you have paid by card or bank transfer then the transaction on your bank will be some proof of payment
