Tradesperson asked for more than the quoted price.
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.47 PM
Good morning I had been told that my job would not take more than one hour, and the electrician quoted the job for one hour's work, but he charged me for one and a half an hour when he finished the job. Do I still have to pay him for one and a half an hour labour? Your prompt reply is much appreciated. Kam

If he didn't quote by the hour then why should you? I charge fixed costs and rarely to basically never charge over what I estimate. That's because I know what I'm doing and I don't expect customers to pay for my incompetence. Just pay him what he quoted.

Yes he should of only billed for what he quoted , but if the job has taken longer due to unexpected problems he or she should of informed you of this before they carried out the work . Any trades men that states this never happens is inexperienced and fibbing

You only pay what you have been quoted for.
