vertical cracks on wooden skirt with shallowed carpet
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.30 PM
Vertical cracks with crowned wooden skirt, and shallowed carpet (30cm x 6cm) in front of the cracked wooden skirt. No cracks on wall so not sure if it is a sign of subsidence. Your expertise's view please.

I dont know if you have a suspended timber floor or a block and beam or concrete oversite . Or wether we are refering to upstairs or down. Cracked skirting is a decorating issue not a structural one. If you are saying that the floor has sunk this is a sign of poorly compacted oversite and can be rectified easily if it is concrete.
