Concrete slab for workshop shed. Should DPM be used between the MOT type 1 and concrete?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.43 PM

Large concrete slab for workshop shed, should a DPM be used between the MOT type 1 and concrete? If so, what type of sand should be used to go on top of the MOT before laying down the DPM on top? As without sand i think the MOT will perforate the plastic as its very sharp in places plus the weight of the concrete going on top. Cheers

The sand you should use is sharp Sand leveled out so DPM can be laid safely on top

From my point of view I would personally lay MOT and compact and after this I would then suggest using ordinary building sand as this is because it compacts Better than sharp sand and the DPM will sit Better on top
