Zanussi main fan oven not working?

Hi all. I have a zanussi double oven ZCV563DX. The hobs & top oven works fine but the main fan oven stopped working - the indicator light doesn't come on and neither does the fan either. Just before this when I turned the dial and pressed the button to start it as usual, it was as if the power/light was going off each time I turned the temperature dial and it didn't sound right, so I turned it on and off again at the main & now nothing relating to the main oven comes on. I have set the time to make sure it's not that, and checked there were no issues with the main connection from the cooker or the wall but all seems fine there. Online seems to suggest it's only the oven element if the light and fan still comes on, so I'm unsure if it's the dial or something else I could get a part for (& tradesman if necessary), or is the main oven simply broke? I would rather repair if possible unless it costs more than a new cooker! Any advice welcome!
