Bamboo flooring
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.48 PM
Hi, I'm considering laying bamboo flooring for a kitchen/dining/lounge area. Is bamboo flooring good and long lasting? And suitable for kitchens? Also would it need a specialist fitter to fit it? The supplier is claiming 25 year structural guarantee. Any info gratefully received, thanks!

Bamboo is a very hard wearing wood which is why it’s also used for work tops.
Can be fitted by any good carpenter/floor layer.

Hi yes it's very hard wearing, would be more than suitable for your kitchen, it's quite easy to fit. I've done a few bamboo. I actually laid it in my first house few years ago. It's a good lasting floor. Also looks very good.
