Can I run my heating system without boiler firing up?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.48 PM

Hi all, I've just replaced a radiator in one of the bedrooms, put the inhibitor in, re-filled & bled system. All ok but I now want to pump the system to get things moving around & distribute the inhibitor. As it's so damn hot at the moment, I was wondering if there was a way of getting the heating going but without the boiler firing up? Is there a manual or engineer setting on the boiler that would allow this? The boiler is a combi Worcester Bosch Green Star 8000 Life. Thanks, Daz. Response to GR BALDRY: I think someone got out of bed the wrong side this morning! Thanks to S J Meakin for the constructive feedback.

Isolate the gas and give your boiler demand on central heating. The boiler will lock out eventually but it’ll get the pump circulating.

I think it would be better to run the boiler for 10mins just to get the inhibitors circulating won’t do no harm
