I’m installing a free standing fridge and the floor isn’t level underneath

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.48 PM

I’m replacing an integrated fridge with a free standing one. I’m confident in removing the integrated fridge and carcass, but having removed the kick board I can see that the thick stand stone tiles don’t go all the way to the skirting board and the edge where the tiles stop is untidy. This would mean that the new free standing fridge would sit on uneven concrete with a two inch slope over a 53x60cm space. Edited: it’s not a slope so adjusting legs won’t work. There’s lumps of hard concrete stuck randomly to the original floor so it’s a real uneven mess under there. Is The solution a self levelling screed and if so, is this a DIY job?

Usually most appliances will have adjustable feet that you can unscrew to level it with whatever floor it goes onto. You would have to check though that the feet are adjustable upto 2 inches.

The fridge legs under the fridge are normally adjustable just, take a look down there and voila!

You can adjust the feet on the appliance to make it level.
