Can you join UPVC fascia boards along the length of the boards, and what would you use to seal the board thanks
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes I would...You can get a coupler which will fit to size to joint them...

You can get a fascia joiner to cover the edges.
If it’s the length then you should be able to purchase a coupler like a “H” trim.
If the trim runs horizontally then a silicone should be applied to the top edge of H-trim then slide fascia in.
This will stop water getting into the channel.

Use fascia joiners. They are specifically made for the job. Most are 300mm long (easy to cut to the depth of fascia your using) & have 30mm bottom lip to wrap round fascia.
I leave a 3mm gap between fascias for the lip it has in the centre on the backside. Definitely pre-drill holes, then silicone & pin joiner in place with relevant coloured plastic headed pins.
