Issue with Tiler - Quality of Work
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.47 PM
Last month we employed a plumber & tiler to rip out and install a new ensuite for us. We have been having some ongoing issues in regards to the quality of their work. For example, the shower tray was installed uneven and as a result the shower enclosure was not fitted correctly, something which they are unwilling to correct until later this month. We would like your opinion on the quality of their tiling. As you can see from the links below, our newly tiled bathroom is littered with chipped tiles, poor grouting, uneven spacing between the tiles and tiles not aligned correctly. Thoughts please? Thank you. **To answer City Tiling’s question below, we obtained 3 quotes, one was for £3.5K, the guy we went with was £4.5K & another at £6K. This was labour only, to remove the old en-suite & install a new tray, enclosure, sink, toilet, vanity unit, mirrored cabinet, towel radiator, circa 25m2 of wall tiles & 5m2 of floor tiles. https://i.postimg.cc/qRCvj5SD/Chipped-Tile-2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/NFqfVxws/Chipped-Tile-Tile-Alignment.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/kGQXdtnx/Grout-Issue-1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/MZVGBgyv/Grout-Issue-2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/mg2Z0DKH/Grout-Issue-3.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/3JhxF9B9/Tile-Alignment-2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/zXkXtW2N/Tile-Alignment-3.jpg
