PVC bathroom wall panels onto what surface
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.47 PM
I took my tiles off one of my bathroom walls and at the bottom half of the wall the plaster came off down to brick. Do I need to take the whole bathroom plaster off and baton the walls to put the shower wall cladding on or can I just patch the wall up with plaster board to level the wall back out and fix the wall panels to that?

It depends on so many factors, you can repatch and do the same next year or you can take nearly everything out and let a professional to do the job
Its all about the budget, the more you spend good materials the better will be for you

This is Mel from waterborne yes you can plasterboard the wall out level with the remaining plaster and cover with your wall boards as long as The remaining plaster is solid and true and you use a foam adhesive But that’s not the best practice best practice would be to knock off all the remaining plaster and build the plaster up a new to a finish when dry create a water proof barrier then apply your boards seal all joints with mastic all the best and I wish you well
