Reposition washing machine water outlet hose
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.47 PM
Hey I have a washing machine that its outlet hose attached to the drain under my kitchen sink like this https://photos.app.goo.gl/GtAS1bEFeHRJgLK16 So my idea is by doing so, the water outlet can be a bit closer to the drain outside of my house, therefore it would leave house a bit faster, also the water waste would be less chance get pushed back up to my sink. Would it work? if so, can you suggest what do i need in order to relocation the hose. Thank you

Hi,
The way it is currently is a rather standard way of connecting a washing machine hose.
The best way to route your washing machine waste to an external drain would be to run it through its own waste pipe through a washing machine trap.
Hope this helps.

Hi ,
Standard connection for whm waste it's under sink on the trap sink.
There is alternative as well to have a separate whm waste pipe which can be run separate, directly to the drain.

A better way to run washing machine waste rather than through sink trap ii on its own stand pipe and straight out into the drain

You will need to vote a 40mm hole through the brickwork behind/side of washing machine and feed out its own 40mm waste pipe to be honest there is nothing wrong with the way it is currently done
