Cob wall - french doors

I live in a cob built cottage and looking to replace a window in the rear with French doors. Company said they can make the opening however will this be ok to do in a cob wall also live in a conservation area.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

to fit a new window or door in a cob house it must be passed by the consevation people who will check all details on the item fitted and will have to be passed ok by them so the company fitting these will have to show it is correctly fitted as required by them
