Roofer available to help organise roof access only?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.29 PM

I need to organise access to the roof of a London house with two floors so my surveyor can get up there to assess. He says we need a double/triple extension ladder that can be safely footed and that I should engage a builder. Would this be something a roofer would do? (I’m conscious that there is no actual roofing works involved, at least not yet.) I obviously realise I would have to pay for both the ladder hire and the professional time spent on setting it up, but I’m just not sure who to approach - a roofer, a builder or somebody else completely? Many thanks

U should get a well experienced roofer that knows what he’s doing. Also make sure he has insurance and is a limited company and has harness for safety.

Any roofer in the area should be happy to do it for you as it could lead to future work and even if it doesn't costs nothing to help someone out like that

This is a job for a roofer. Ensure who over you employ has public liability, plenty of experience and and a harness.
