No flow of hot water from shower

Hi 4 months ago my old concealed thermostatic shower was replaced by a new one. Good mains water pressure, hot water from an immersion heater, solely dedicated to the 2 thermostatic showers. Working perfectly until one night no hot water! Turned to cold great flow, turned to hot barely a dribble. Victorian plumbing originally said probably cartridge fail but have now emailed to say low pressure problem buy a pump! The shower has worked for 4 months, the other shower is around 10 years old and works fine. Are they right? If not how do I convince them? All help gratefully received Jan

Probably the hot water inlet to the shower mixer is clogged. Try to clean the sieve inside non return valve.

unequal pressure mains cold tank fed hot, the cold drives the hot back, it may have worked previously but your mains pressure may have increased, there may be service valves on cold service that had been shut down a bit to try and equalise the supply.

The cartridge has probably failed if you turn on hot bath tap and that works fine then it is the unit problem with Victoria plumbing is they get most of there product from China and the internal parts aren't finished problerly and break away so all you need is a new cartridge I have had this problem several times now

Not necessarily a better answer but if all was okay before I would say that the hot feed to that shower is blocked remove the shower and expose the black washer that on most showers has a fine gauze mesh on it and is there to collect lime deposits but that's normally just after installation. So it could need cleaning or cod possibly be an air lock in that one pipeline
