Combi boiler no pressure and then high pressure

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.53 PM

Our boiler's pressure has been at 0 for a while so we raised the pressure (which we have done before) to about 1. Now the pressure goes up to 2.5 - 3 . the boiler drips when the pressure goes up and we have bled off a rad, we have found a new filling key thingy and made sure it is all tight. Can't now get the key thingy out and is still dripping, not badly but enough to fill a suacer whilst we are out for the day.

Sounds like the expansion vessel has failed. You need to get a qualified person to check and advise.
