Problem with water heating up on Allie truck protec plus418

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.47 PM

The water only gets lukewarm (18 degrees according to the boiler readout) even when the dial is set to maximum (65 degrees) . I can’t increase this no matter what temperature I set.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

This could be a number of things. First I'd be looking at is the diverter valve or flow switch. Known issue with these boilers. If you run the hot water and the heating flow pipe at boiler gets hot the diverter will be your issue. Failing that, I'd Imagine a faulty flow sensor. You would know this if boiler doesn't light at all when running hot water

Sounds like to me it could be the secondary plate heat exchanger is blocked.

Needs to make clear make and model As if it’s a combi possibly a few different things but if it’s a 418 heat only then it’s a different fault all together
