Can I have an integrated oven above a washing machine?

I would appreciate any help about this problem.We would like to put our bew integrated oven into a new kitchen above our washing machine.The new housing cupboard and end panel would be next to a sliding French door opening.We have been told by the new kitchen supplier that we cannot have the oven in this position because it is next to a window.Is this correct. Thanks

I can't see why it can not be done has the kitchen supplier said why it can't is it due to the sliding patio doors?

You definitely shouldn’t put a gas oven next to the sliding French door as the draft could blow out the flame. If it’s electric then there doesn’t seem to be a regulatory restriction, but it might be a terrible location because of grease and steam making the windows dirty. As regards the washing machine, again spills might be harder to clean from the nooks and crannies - but worse than that, the vibration will collapse your soufflés and cakes!

No because of the heat issue created every time you open the oven door to check food cooking. Washing machines are designed to be in there own separate space away from other appliances. How close is the sliding door? Is there a full height end panel on the side of the housing unit between oven and doors? Are the doors British standard kite marked ? Ideally the doors need to be a couple of feet away from the kitchen oven

It simply won’t fit A washing machine is 600mm wide and does not go inside a cabinet (wether it is freestanding or integrated) An integrated oven is designed to fit inside a 600mm wide cabinet.
