Vapour barrier over metal deck?

I'm currently working on a new build project and we are thinking of using single ply flat roof system with a corrugated metal decking. I would just like to know if I need to lay vapour barrier over the the metal deck before laying the insulation. I know I would normally have to do that if I had a timber decking to prevent condensation. I'm just not sure if vapour can pass through metal which would mean I need a vapour barrier?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Thanks for the edit, cleared up my thoughts.
Yes you do need a vapour barrier between the metal and the insulation for the same mold reasons.

You need a vapour barrier under the insulation and breatheable felt on top of the insulation then metal on top
