Ask structural engineer to come over and firstly confirm it is a load bearing wall and then provide a structural calculation for a proposed supporting beam.
Once calculation is complete, instruct builder to carry out the work and they are to serve a building notice to building control. There will be a fee for building control.

Employ the services of a structural engineer to test if the wall is load-bearing or not. A competent structural engineer should be able to provide you with calculations and advise on the best structural configuration for any necessary supporting beam and wall opening. The structural information must be sent to building control for approval either as full plans or notice.

Ask a Chartered Structural Engineer rather than someone unqualified.

Ask a structural engineer to come out to access whether its a structural wall or not. Once confirmed that it is, they will provide a calculation for a steel beam of appropriate size / strength to bridge the gap in place of the wall.

An architectural surveyor or structural engineer will be able to tell you if this is a load bearing wall or not. Once confirmed, the surveyor will need to take the dimensions of that specific area (width, depth & height). The structural engineer will then work out the size of the beam that's required.
