What trade/s would cover building a wooden walkway over a drainage ditch?
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.42 PM
I have posted a job:- Construct a wooden walkway bridge over a drainage ditch that is immediately behind my back garden gate. To give me unfettered access to the sports ground that abuts our house. As you can see I chose landscaping as the appropriate heading under which to advertise the job. Is this correct or should it be Groundwork and Foundations
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Landscaper or carpenter really. A groundworker should also be able to do the work required.

Hi, a landscaper should be able to construct the walkway, if it is only taking foot traffic. If it is to take anything heavy like a vehicle then I would err on the side of caution and get a proper survey done first.

Ground work and foundations as the bridge will need concrete hard standing foundations to be built off
