I have a tiled floor in a kitchen and Hall can you laminate put straight over the top ?

I have tiled flooring , it is level and is 8 years old, it is cold and rather dated! I want laminate flooring. The area of kitchen 20ft by 8 ft approx Hall 8ft by 2ft approx I have been quoted £1000s I mean Thousands😔 please can you help?

Hello.
Yes. If the tiles are solid and in level, you can lay underlay and laminate flooring directly on top.

Laminate can be layed over the existing floor assuming it’s in sound/level and dry. Be aware that lifting up the floor level will impact doors and any thresholds that may be at the original level. E.G a carpeted room that meets the new laminate floor will have a sloped threshold.

Yes you can lay the laminate directly on the tiles, just make sure you have laid damp proof membrane and underlay before the floor.
