Does a hard wired electric oven legally require an isolation switch
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.58 PM
Just had this installed and the kitchen fitter has wired the oven in but there is no isolation switch. Is it a legal requirement to have an isolation switch or is it just regarded as good practice to have an isolation switch.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It's 100% a requirement and they shouldn't have left you without one, unfortunately that's the problem with appliance fitting companies. They don't have the correct knowledge.
