Replacing e7 hot water cylinder

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.58 PM

I have a 120litre vented hot water cylinder in 2 bed house, all electric, the tank is leaking slightly and the thermostat, or element now gone. It supplies bath, never used!, shower (which uses hot water pumped from the tank), sink and kitchen taps. What are best options to replace? 1. Just new tank and replace as is. 2. Any other options? Just thinking of most economical heating options to heat water in house. Thanks in advance. Answer- no central heating, have a log, multi fuel burner.

If you have the money, upgrade to an unvented hot water cylinder. You won’t need the pump for the shower as you’ll be getting mains pressure to all the outlets.
