Replacing dormer window with glass fitted from outside

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.46 PM

I need to replace a UPVC loft dormer window but the glass was installed from the outside - can it be replaced totally from inside as access from outside house is difficult

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

dependant of design of window the sashes can be removed to access the glazed area required.

Hi there There's two answers to be had here and it all depends what side the glazing bead is. Generally 99 times out of a hundred if upvc frames it will beaded from the inside so acces should be OK and it's straightforward. If however the frames are aluminium or timber then it's more like to be on the outside so access via a ladder , MEWP or Scaffolding Louis pannell lpannell6@gmail.com
