Hi i have a two brick pillar/column but i want to increase its size, is it possible? Another option is the make a new bigger pillar in front of existing one and use tie cables to attach both. This is for driveway metal gate Any suggestions?

Assuming your question is regarding aesthetics and nothing to do with the load bearing structure. I would equalise the pillars using plasterboard (dot and dab) and then skim to finish. This is quite common as more people extend or knock through their properties.
One thing to note would be if the pillars are your supports for an overhead beam then the beam would also require equalising to the same dimensions and would be easily achieved with the same methodology.
Hope that helps, Liam.

This all depends on the height on the actual pillars themself and if the pillars are tied into a garden wall, best option personally (if the pillars are 4-5 foot) would be take the pillars down and have them rebuilt to how you would want them

You can dig new footings around your pillar and extend the pillar by toothing out the brick work on the existing on your pillar
